Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with LegalClauze. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available and how to request one.

1. $0.99 Trial

The $0.99 trial is a paid service that grants you limited document generation and a preview of the output. Because the trial provides immediate access to AI-generated content, the $0.99 trial fee is non-refundable.

If you do not wish to be charged the $0.99, do not subscribe to the trial.

2. Monthly Subscriptions

Our paid monthly plans (Rookie, Pro, Business, Unlimited) automatically renew each billing cycle. You may cancel at any time through your dashboard or by emailing support@legalclauze.com.

7-Day Refund Window for First-Time Subscribers: If you subscribe to a monthly plan for the first time and are unsatisfied, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription, provided you have generated no more than one (1) document during that period.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally not available in the following cases:

  • After 7 days from your initial subscription date;
  • After you have generated two (2) or more documents in your current billing cycle;
  • For renewal charges on subscriptions you forgot to cancel — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle;
  • For the $0.99 trial fee (see Section 1);
  • For $5.99 document edit fees (these are consumed immediately upon use);
  • For accounts terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service;
  • For partial months of service (we do not pro-rate mid-cycle refunds for cancellations);
  • For dissatisfaction with the content or legal sufficiency of generated documents — you acknowledged the AI disclaimer in our Terms of Service when signing up.

4. Exceptional Refunds

We may, at our sole discretion, issue refunds in exceptional circumstances such as:

  • Duplicate charges caused by our billing system;
  • Extended service outages that prevented you from using features you paid for;
  • Documented technical errors that produced no usable output despite multiple attempts.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@legalclauze.com with the following information:

  • Your account email address;
  • The date and amount of the charge;
  • The reason for your refund request;
  • Any relevant order or transaction ID.

We review refund requests within 3-5 business days and will respond via email. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank.

6. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account. We encourage you to email us first at support@legalclauze.com — we will work with you to resolve billing issues promptly.

7. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancelling your subscription is different from requesting a refund:

  • Cancellation: stops future renewals. You retain access until the end of the current paid period. No refund is issued for the unused portion of the current billing cycle.
  • Refund: returns money already charged, subject to the rules above.

You can cancel your subscription any time from your dashboard without emailing support.

8. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Changes apply to new charges made after the update date; charges made before the update are governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.
